Networking:

To facilitate networking, we will have a “Communications Board” available at the conference, for you to post information.  You may wish to bring a small poster, business cards or other documents to share with delegates in this way.  Also, please join our online community on facebook.

Presentation Formats:

You are welcome to bring handouts for your presentation, and encouraged to do so for Round Table presentations.

Poster

Posters should be no larger than 3 ft high by 3.75 ft wide.  The poster session on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 will run from 7:30pm-9:30pm (posters should be up by 6 pm). Posters will be displayed until the afternoon break on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at which point the second set of posters will be set up. The poster session on Thursday, May 14 will begin at 4:30pm and run until 6:00pm, although posters will be available for viewing until the end of the conference. We will provide velcro fasteners for the posters.

Oral

Oral presentations should be planned for 15 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for questions. Available audio-visual equipment includes: microphone, LCD projector, and laptop with speakers.  Presentations can be loaded on to the conference laptop 15 to 20 minutes before each presentation session begins.  IMPORTANT: Please save your presentation on a USB memory device in the following file format: Powerpoint 97-2003 & 95 Presentation (*.ppt)  This will reduce the likelihood of any technical difficulties.

Round Table

Round table presentations are 40 minutes long. Each table seats 8 people. Round table presenters should prepare their presentations in a way that encourages dialogue and maximizes the discussion possibilities of the format. There is no audio-visual equipment available in the Round Table rooms, but presenters are encouraged to prepare and distribute hand-outs or other educational materials.
