Reflections in Practice™ Community

A supportive membership space for therapists who want to grow with intention, not overwhelm

You became a therapist to make a difference —

not to drown in self-doubt, burnout, or endless trainings.

Reflections in Practice™ is an online community for thoughtful, values-driven therapists who want to deepen their confidence, reconnect with purpose, and grow sustainably in their work — without trying to do it all alone.

Whether you're in your first few years of practice or seeking a softer way forward after burnout or disillusionment, this space is for you.

This is not your average professional development space.

There are no badges to earn, no pressure to perform, no endless discussion threads.

Instead, Reflections in Practice™ is grounded in:

✔️ Reflective practice, not reactive hustle
✔️ Clinical integrity, not comparison
✔️ Depth over breadth
✔️ Compassionate self-inquiry

Inside the community you'll find:

  • Monthly Reflective Practice Circles – gentle, structured space to pause and process what's coming up in your work

  • Mini Workshops – self-paced trainings on therapist identity, imposter syndrome, session flow, and more

  • Curated Resource Library – bite-sized tools, worksheets, and prompts you can actually use

  • A Warm, Private Forum – no judgment, no performance — just real conversation and encouragement

  • Optional Coaching Opportunities – for deeper support when you’re ready to go further

Come as you are.

Log in with coffee between sessions. Reflect at the end of a hard week. Reconnect with why you started this work in the first place.

This is your space to grow — sustainably, thoughtfully, and in good company.

About Me

Hi, I’m Heidi — a registered social worker, psychotherapist, and educator based in Canada. I created Reflections in Practice™ because I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by self-doubt, isolated in the therapy room, and unsure how to bridge the gap between theory and the real work of holding space.

Over the past 18+ years, I’ve worked in agency, school, and private practice settings, supporting individuals and families through anxiety, trauma, relationship ruptures, and complex life transitions. But one of my greatest passions is supporting therapists — especially early-career and values-driven practitioners — in doing this work in a sustainable, meaningful way.

In my roles as a clinical supervisor, course instructor, and facilitator, I’ve seen time and again that what most new therapists need isn’t another certificate — it’s space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their own voice.

That’s what Reflections in Practice™ is all about.

If you’re looking for a soft place to land, a way to grow without burning out, and a space to feel seen in your learning curve — welcome. You belong here.
